About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated CEO to lead Trunki, a leading brand in the kids travel category. The ideal candidate will be an independent leader with a strong background in marketing, eCommerce and traditional retail, having tangible experience leading brands generating $15-50m in annual revenue. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business with full P&L ownership, including hiring and leading the team, defining and executing a growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of exceptional talent to transform the brand for the next stage of profitable growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product innovation and expansion strategy to drive growth and profitability.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, develop market entry strategies, and drive successful market launches from scratch.
- Work closely with the wider Heroes team to influence, implement and execute on the brand strategy and achieve business objectives.
- Formulate an internal and external collaborative approach to develop a brand and social strategy, which increases awareness and reach, whilst optimising revenue across owned and paid channels.
- Lead new product development initiatives, from idea generation to product launch, ensuring a strong pipeline of innovation.
- Manage pricing strategy, ensuring optimal positioning for the brand in the marketplace.
- Expand the brand's presence across eCommerce and traditional retail channels, both domestically and internationally.
- Ownership of a full brand P&L and management of reporting structures to influence other departments to optimise the results across the group
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, retailers, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Optimise and utilise existing centralised talent and data available within Heroes ecosystem to drive brand to next level of growth and profitability.
About you
- A minimum of 8 years of working experience within a successful brand in the baby & juvenile industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated experience in ecommerce, product development, marketing, branding, market entry, and international expansion.
- Strong strategic and commercial thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for the juvenile industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional products and experiences for customers.
- Demonstrated experience reporting on business performance to Exec-level
- High level of financial literacy, capable of making informed decisions on multiple levels (net revenue, margin, EBITDA)
