About the role

At Heroes, the group’s Head of Operational Finance is responsible for overseeing the group’s treasury operations, including accounts payable and receivable, efficient working capital and cash flow management, liquidity optimisation, and minimising financial risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

Cash Management:

• Oversee day-to-day cash flow management, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Manage intercompany cash movements and ensure optimal liquidity levels are maintained.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Strategic Planning and Reporting:

• Set and lead the group treasury management strategy
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring
• Prepare and present treasury reports to senior management
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall corporate strategies and initiatives.

Financial Risk Management:

• Identify and manage financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks.
• Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate financial risk exposure.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions to inform risk management strategies.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the treasury team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of treasury staff.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

About you

• 5+ years experience within the treasury department of a multinational retail and/or e-commerce business
  
• Master's Degree in Accounting (MAcc) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  
• Chartered Management Accounting (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  
• Strong affinity for technology, including good understanding of latest trends.
  
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with data.
  
• Knowledge of international finance and foreign exchange markets
  
• Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
  
• Experience working in an international environment, managing various currencies
