About the role
The Talent Acquisition Lead reports into the Head of Talent Acquisition, and leads on day to day recruitment activities.
This role involves multi-stakeholders management and cross-functional work, and will be key in ensuring Heroes brings on the best talents on board.
This is a varied and exciting role, involving partnering with hiring managers, understanding business and team needs, defining requirements and delivering a high quality selection process and candidate experience, while keeping your timelines in mind.
This person will be the first point of contact and the face of Heroes for a large number of candidates. We are therefore looking for someone with great communication skills and a palpable passion about the business and the product.
Responsibilities
- Understand business and team needs from hiring managers, and assist them with job description writing.
- Putting job descriptions live and sharing on social media.
- Screening applications, headhunting using LinkedIn and diverse job boards where relevant.
- Conduct phone screenings with candidates.
- Ensuring a structured and smooth recruitment process, both for the candidates and for the hiring teams, keeping all parties in the loop at every stage.
- Ensure strong diversity & inclusion practices throughout the recruitment process.
- Liaising with our Senior People Manager for offers, references check and contracts drafting.
- Proactively build talent pools for future hiring needs and grow Heroes talent pool.
- Report on your performance (time to fill, D&I, quality of hire) through data.
- In times when recruitment will be quieter, support the rest of our HR teams with generalists tasks such as payroll, office management and socials organisation for our South African employees.
About you
- You have a least 2 to 3 years experience within a in-house recruitment team
- Ideally, you have experience recruiting for various departments such as Finance, Data Engineering, Supply chain, Marketing and Creative.
- You are a people person, who gets a kick from finding someone their dream job, as well as the best fit for Heroes.
- You are organised and understand how to prioritise your workload.
- You work autonomously but are a team player. You know when to ask for help and advice.
- You can think outside the box on how to find the best candidates out there.
- You represent and showcase Heroes values every day.
- You are keen to keep learning and happy to help on other topics than recruitment should the opportunity arise.
